Sr. Product Manager (New York, NY)
The Sr. Product Manager will report to the Vice President of Product Administration and be responsible for:
- Product definition and feature evolution of a mobile-, web- or email-based subscription/continuity-type product or service
- Requirements gathering, documentation of marketing and functional requirements
- Developing and managing relationships with outside vendors as needed
- Monitoring and responding to changes in environmental variables regarding: compliance, acquisition, billing, carriers, aggregators, user interaction
- Developing and Maintaining a Product Roadmap
- Integrating compliance, operations, and marketing priorities
- Prioritizing initiatives
- Participating in copywriting for advertising and SMS flows
- Keeping VP of Product Administration appraised of status and developments
- Coordinating with Project Manager in IT group to deliver functional changes
- Coordinating with peers in Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, etc. to achieve inter-departmental objectives
- Executing on operational tasks such as updating the loyalty rewards catalog, setting up new sweepstakes drawings, testing and optimizing SMS copy
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure operational tasks are addressed in a timely fashion (Customer Service, Redemption / Prize fulfillment, etc.)
- Monitoring the performance of the product on all major metrics, identifying problems and opportunities, developing responses, and briefing senior managers
Ideal Experience will include having:
- Managed a Business-to-Consumer Product:
- Managed either:
- A credit card-billed or premium SMS billed subscription or continuity product or service
- Managed a product sold via Direct Response Marketing
- Managed a software-based or web-based product or service through the Software Development Lifecycle
- Project Management experience
- Managed:
- Card-processor and merchant bank relationships; or
- Mobile billing aggregator relationships
Other Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Track record of managing a successful (growing and profitable) consumer product or service
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Attention to detail and follow-up
- Good analytical skills, the ability to understand, manipulate, and interpret data
- Teamwork and strong inter-personal skills
- Hands-on, can-do attitude
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, less-structured, entrepreneurial environment
